Người ta cưa cây xẻ ván để làm cầu.

Bậu khắc nghiệt chặt đôi cho lỡ nhịp.

Họa hoằn thay tiếng con bìm bịp.

Réo gọi đôi bờ báo nước kiệt, nước rong.

Đò đời người ngược dòng tôi chèo chống.

Bậu hững hờ mặc nước xiết cuốn đò trôi.

Quẳng gánh lo đi nhận tiếng bạc đãi bôi.

Mặc con nước, mặc tiếng than con bìm bịp.

Mặc mõi mê, mặc trò đời khinh miệt.

Tôi kiệt sức rồi, Bậu có biết được gì không?
