Trăng nảo trăng nao sáng nhạt nhòa

Đôi tà mây trắng hững hờ qua

Cỏ cây ướt đẫm màu sương đục

Gió thảm đìu hiu rít não nề.

 

Vườn lạnh còn đâu tiêng dế kêu

Mỗi tiếng thời gian vẫn thở đều

Bên song cửa sổ người thiếu nữ

Lệ đắng rơi hoài tấm tranh thêu.

 

Nàng khóc vì ai, khóc cho ai?

Nghĩa cũ tình xưa luống nhạt phai

Kẻ đành cất bước, người còn đợi

Thơm cho ai nữa hỡi hoa nhài
