Ta chợt nhận ra em

Giữa chiều ga Hàng Cỏ

Phố đã chuyển sang mùa

Trên cành bàng lá đỏ.

 

Đoàn tàu đã về đó

Buông tiếng còi vu vơ

Thu ơi, em có biết

Trời sắp đổ cơn mưa?

 

Bước chân trần rêu phong

Ta quanh co Láng cũ

Nghe ngàn năm Thăng Long

Hiện trên từng góc phố.

 

Hồ Gươm vờn nước biếc

Tháp Bút vọng trời xanh

Ai xui bờ liễu rũ

Để sấu chua một mình?

 

Ta xa em, nhớ em

Cớ sao còn bỡ ngỡ?

Giờ phố đã lên đèn

Mà cô đơn vẫn thế.
